Ecotourism in Wayanad 

Wayanad has 2 main wild sancturies. Muthanga and Tholpetty. They are the main ecotourism centers in Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. Ecotourism activities are managed by Kerala forest department, with the help of Muthanga and Tholpetty Eco-Development Committees (EDCs). Tourists to these Wild Sancturis frquently can see herds of elephants, deers, monkeys, tigers, leopards, bears,guars and different species of reptiles.

,fishes, butterflies, birds including vultures etc,  

 There are Interpretation centres which provide information about Medicinal plants, Birth Star Plants’ (Zodiac Plants) Garden,etc, giving Awareness to the public
